Bugger, it's Tuesday
Aug. 30th, 2005 09:21 amBut at least I got paid for this bank holiday :-) Ah, the joys of moving from temping to full-time work.
And this is the start of my "not doing a full week for a month" session - I love doing that :-) 4 days this week, next week and the week after and then 3 days the week after that.
I had a good weekend - very lazy and didn't do too much. Saturday was reading books, watching tv and keeping out of the way whilst my parents tidied up the small patio area at the back of the house in preparation for the BBQ that evening. Then lots of wine and good food, whilst watching my Dad attempting to blow up the new BBQ figuring out how it worked :-) In theory, I should have been paying close attention so that I know how it works but I asked the questions so I should be able to figure it out.
Sunday was spent reading books and watching tv whilst the parents were out playing golf.
Monday we went to a craft fair at Stoner (near Henley) which was nice - I bought a wooden 3-layer, tortoise puzzle and 4 packs of sausages. A very strange combination but fairly normal for me at craft fairs.
I've also been having interesting discussions with my parents again. They're actually making suggestions for the BBQ now and have got over all the weird passive-aggressiveness in regards to theatre trips.
